Nicknamed "The Lobster Capital of the World," this New Brunswick town also is the site of the "World's Largest Lobster Sculpture" measuring 16.4 feet wide by 35 feet long and 16 feet high. Shediac was settled in 1749 by Acadians and later became incorporated in 1903. It hosts an annual lobster festival and has deep routes in lobster catching. Other notable sites are Shediac Bay Yacht Club, Shediac Marina and Rotary Park.
